Information about

RSM-01 Optical Sight Rings

Description

The RSM-01 scope rings are a new, improved generation of scope mounts designed to provide unrivaled results in precision and long-range shooting.

A feature of the design of the sight rings is the ability to move individual rings on the Picatinny rail to any distance from each other.

The RSM-01 scope rings feature multiple built-in SMAI interfaces for attaching accessories – allowing for customization and fine-tuning of the weapon to suit the shooter’s needs. SMAI can be used to attach a bubble level, DOPE card, and various sized Picatinny rails.

The SMAI interface is built on the principle of triangles, which are one of the strongest and most stable geometric shapes in nature and engineering. It is this property that allows the SMAI interface to attach and securely hold even heavy accessories.

Rings for the RSM-01 optical sight have 14 modifications and are manufactured in diameters: 30 mm, 34 mm, 40 mm, heights: 30 mm, 34 mm, 38 mm, in black and coyote colors.

The quality and accuracy of all DAVIKA products is established at the conceptual design stage, implemented in high-tech production, and confirmed by thorough quality control.

The RSM-01 rings provide exceptional flexibility for mounting a telescopic sight.

FAQs

Do the scope rings need lapping?

"Rings for DAVIKA optical sights are produced on modern new 5-axis machines in automatic mode, which achieves high precision of the product. However, unlike a monoblock, the coaxiality of the rings is affected by the base of their installation (Picatinny rail), and if it is crooked, it will require lapping (or a new Picatinny rail)."

What material are the rings for the optical sight made of?

The material of manufacture is aluminum 7075-T6, which is the strongest aluminum alloy in the world and has a tensile strength almost 2 times higher than cast aluminum and magnesium alloys.

What coating do the rings for the optical sight have?

Hard anodized coating – the surface of the mount is resistant to scratches, mechanical damage, and environmental influences. This is a very high-quality coating that will protect the scope mount for many years.

How to choose the diameter and height?

The diameter of the rings for the optical sight must match the diameter of the tube of your optical sight.

To determine the minimum height of the rings for the optical sight, the external diameter of the exit lens of the optical sight should be divided by 2. The resulting value will be theoretical.

What is the tightening torque of the screws?

Clamping plate – maximum force 5 Nm or 45 in-lb.

"Rings – maximum torque 3 Nm 25 in-lb, but always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the optical sight to avoid overloading the sight's mount."
